Also appearing Genevieve Chappell From ESPN2's "Bidding Wars" Dennis Gage, host of My Classic Car on TV's SPEED channel to film at the 15th annual Great Pottsville Cruise, Saturday and Sunday August 9th and 10th, 2008.

Come meet Dennis Gage Saturday, August 9th, at the Cruise-In to Jerry's Classic Cars & Collectibles Museum, S. Centre St., Pottsville from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cruise-In downtown Coney Island Saturday night 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Dennis Gage. Live music, fun night.

New Times: To accommodate Dennis Gage's filming of The Great Pottsville Cruise for an episode of My Classic Car, staging times will be earlier than previous years. Staging begins at 8 a.m. Sunday, August 10th at Martz Hall. All vehicles 1972 and older will stage at the west "upper" lot, and all vehicles 1973 and newer will stage at the east "lower" lot.

On April 18^th,19^th, & 20^th, over 30 artists will be using various forms of artwork to express hundreds of ideas during the 2^nd Annual Block of Art, located at 203-215 West Market Street in Pottsville. According to event organizers, the mission of the Block of Art is to “to bring downtown Pottsville alive with creativity.” There will be a wide variety of fine art/mixed media, poetry, pottery, photography, textiles, film, live music and workshops throughout the weekend.

On Friday evening, April 18^th at 7 p.m. a private reception for artists and their invited guests will take place. Schuylkill County Commissioner, Mantura Gallagher will cut the ribbon to open the Block of Art. The Block of Art opens to the public on Saturday, April 19^th from 10a.m. to 8 p.m. with live music to follow. The event will also be open on Sunday, April 20th from noon to 6 p.m.

Works from Allied Artist of Schuylkill County will be on view at the Pottsville Free Public Library located at 215 West Market Street on Friday, April 18^th and Saturday, April 19th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, April 20^th at 6pm, the Sovereign Majestic Theater will be showcasing two films by local, self-taught, animated filmmaker Brent Green. His film “Carlin” was screened as part of the Documentary Shorts program at the Sundance Film Festival.
