According to Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) the pending Health Care legislation will create about 15,000 new jobs for IRS.

The much hated arm of the Federal Government is slated to become the Health Care POLICE. The IRS is nothing more than a strong armed collection agency. They employ more "knee breaking" tactics than Tony Soprano could dream up.

• Failure to keep government approved health care insurance during any period of a tax year is going to cost you.

• Fines of $2,200.00 or 2% of your gross income will be levied upon you by IRS, if you fail to prove you were covered under an approved policy.
• If you fail to pay the fines, you could find yourself in prison.

Additionally, IRS will be providing your financial details to medical providers. In an effort to force you to pay at POS, medical institutions will have access to your reported income and possibly your bank account. It is unclear whether your gross before deductions, or you adjusted gross is going to be used to determine ability to pay.

This invasion of our privacy is extremely troublesome.

Using any agency of the Federal Government as a "daily" watch dog, puts us closer and closer to the Orwellian state of 1984.
