Snowshoe Hikes at Skytop
On Fridays, January 21st, 28th, and Sunday, February 6th, join staff from the Monroe County Environmental Education Center (MCEEC) for a Snowshoe Hike at Skytop! Winter is an excellent time to learn about the fauna of the Poconos, and simply enjoy the beautiful ecosystems that surround us. Environmental Educator Karen N. Boyle, and Skytop Resort Activities Director Kimberly Matthew will lead this fun snowshoe hike.

Each 2-hour excursion will begin at 1:00pm; meet at Skytop Lodge at 12:45pm. The cost is $8.00/general, or $5.00/MCEEC members and children under 12. Snowshoe rental, if needed, is $10.00/adult or $6.00/child. Be sure to dress warmly, in layers! Registration is required by the Thursday prior to the hike, and by February 4th for the February 6th hike. Try something new! Dog Sledding has made it back to the Poconos! Skytop Lodge has added dog sledding to it's growing list of winter activities for guests to enjoy. Once a favorite past-time in the 1930's and 1940's, this year you can enjoy the beautiful views Skytop has to offer on a dog sled. There are many other family activities to enjoy at Skytop as well!
