Have you ever been to a Snitz Fest ? Well this Saturday I'm heading to the historic Han Herr House to participate in the annual festival. Each year's festival invites you to experience early American crafts, farm life and of course foods. I'll be sampling the dozens of traditional foods and jump into several hands-on activities. Costomed artisans will be demonstrating Pennsylvania German and Native American skills such as out door baking, scrubbing laundry with a washboard, churning butter, heckling flax and splitting shingles. Good thing there's plenty of food !
Snitz in German means slice and to early immigrants it referred to sliced, dried apples. There will be cooking of apple mash to convert to apple butter. Various varieties of apples from the Hans Herr orchard will be available for tasting. I'm sure I'll be leaving with a number of items from the "food tent's" available offering of baked apple dumplings, apple fritters, and snitz pie ! The Hans Herr House is located just off of RT. 222 at 1849 Hans Herr Drive, Willow Street,PA 17584. For more details visit www.hansherr.org

Joe, I will say it's so, Darrenkamp's Market has enhanced my Real Estate career ! In fact I now consider it my Real Estate farm. Let me explain. The average real estate agent enters the business with a much too small Sphere of Influence(S.O.I.) ! They are therefore forced to make a lot of uncomfortable cold calls to complete strangers. One approach taught to real estate newbies is to farm a specific neighborhoodto build up the S.O.I.. Without quickly increasing this group numerically a real estate has less chance than a dinosaur to survive! Once finally through this difficult learning curve a real estate agent has to maintain continual contact with both their S.O.I. and past clients .
Enter Darrenkamp's Market , Willow Street,PA . I have told numerous real estate classes that I can accomplish all of my necessary past client follow up by merely changing my shopping habits. I've found that if I visit Darrenkamp's between 4-8 times per week at different time slots , I continually am seeing key people who interact with my real estate practice. Additionally numerous times I've bumped into a friend who introduced me to yet another Darrenkamp's customer who discovered I'm a Realtor.
As far as making more trips to Darrenkamp's goes, that's no problem. Every visit is further confirmation that Darrenkamp's Market is a "customer centered" business establishment filled with friendly people. The Darrenkamp's Team goes to great lengths to make your shopping experience something that makes you want to keep coming back ! It is truly a good representation of all that makes Lancaster living a sought after experience.
So the next time you see this KELLER WILLIAMS real estate agent in the aisles of Darrenkamp's Market , he is working. He's farming, sowing seeds of future business, cultivating relationships to harvest life long real estate clients. Darrenkamp's Market , my real estate Farm !
