Six Mile Cypress Slough (pronounced slew) is a 2,200 acre wetland in Fort Myers, Florida.  This tour was taken in mid August during a somewhat unseasonably dry summer. The foliage and wetlands were active with wildlife and the landscape featured lush swamp plants.

Well it appears they are still on the rise here in Lee County.  Yes folks, we have many foreclosures here in Lee County.
Am I surprised by this? NO.
A recent article in the news-press.com sites 1,232 foreclosures filed in August of 2007. In July there were only 1,045.
Building permits are also way down. Only 63 permits for single family homes were issued in August of 2007. This is the lowest number since November of 1981! Wow!
