In October of 2008 there were 10 homes that closed within the month for Hopkinton Massachusetts. This is a decrease of 1 units as there were 11 homes that closed in October of 2007.
The Average list price for the homes that closed in Hopkinton for October of 2007 was $524,591
The Average list price for the homes that closed in Hopkinton for October of 2008 was $885,638
The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Hopkinton for October of 2007 was $507,382
The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Hopkinton for October of 2008 was $835,990
The Average Market time for the homes that closed in Hopkinton in October of 2007 was 154 days.
The Average Market time for the homes that closed in Hopkinton October of 2008 was 119 days.

It had to be one of the most beautiful fall days in New England... two of my bravest Realtors, Suzanne Hart and Mary Ellen Wasielewski agreed to play in the annual Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament with me. As a Chamber Board Member this was the first year I had the privilege to play with other women! I was not able to recruit a fourth so Rob Phipps had the honor of playing in our group (what a lucky guy!) We truly could not have asked for a better foursome. Not only is Rob a member of the club but he plays golf 4 times a week! He was very patient with us and we laughed more than we actually hit the ball!
We all agreed that this was an amazing way to spend a beautiful fall day. Video to come soon....

I recently had the privilege of attending the Sotheby's International Realty Broker-Owner Orientation in Short Hills, New Jersey. Aside from three very educational days of learning more about the power of the brand and the industry in general was the networking among an extraordinary and successful group of real estate professionals consisting of Owners, Brokers and key managers.
One of the highlights of this event was taking a chartered bus from Short Hills to New York City to get a private tour and dinner in the Board Room of the Sotheby's Auction House.
It truly was a surreal moment for me as I looked around the room and realized the history of the auction house and the quality of the crowd surrounding me. For the first time since I launched the new company I took a few minutes to appreciate the journey of my career. I had myself almost in tears but they were happy and proud tears.
As a 34 year old entrepreneur and sole Owner of Hallmark Sotheby's International Realty I find events such as this priceless.
