2008 YTD Crime stats for Southern Pines, North Carolina - Mar 30 12:13 PM
The Southern Pines Police Department has reported that "so far this year, overall crime is down 30% from the previous year." Break-ins and larcenies are down even more. The figures include crime statistics form the first two months of 2007 and 2008. March figures are not yet available.
There were 74 total crimes in the business area during the first two months of 2007, according to Police. That number has decreased to 50 this year. Also down ...
