Since 77% of all Christmas shoppers still have not done their shopping yet (according to the latest stats) what better place for the men out there then to head to Wickford RI.

Waterfront Wickford RI - By the Wickford Harbor- Brr! It may be a cold December day and the only way you would know that is that Wickford Harbor has no boats, sailing ships or sails wafting in the noon time wind within Wickford Village. Festival of Lights in Wickford RI - Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. It is December 1st and the dusk was settling over the Wickford Harbor and the lights were bright behind

me. It is still early...just 5 p.m. and the Festival of Lights in Wickford Village does not start

officially until 6.

Coming into the Village before the crowds come down is a pleasure to take in the lights and the glistening harbor waters. This is RI real estate to explore.

Wickford Village stores were decorated in holiday cheer and store owners are in high spirit as customers spend the time to visit and buy their local wares.

And Santa was arriving by boat shortly to the Town Dock for all children big & small to smile about....for it tis the season when hopes and wishes may come true. Aah, the Festival of Lights is such a truly out and about Wickford event that brings out the throngs of locals. Even the news truck was there tonight to film the event! Snapping of pictures is in order, so enjoy the thousands of sparkling shimmering lights that line Wickford Village and grab a chocolate goodie from the Boy Scouts sale table.

So as I head out of the Wickford Rhode Island's Festival of Light, the Village parking lot was filling up quickly. The weather is good, cool and clear tonight on the waterfront. It is a great night in the Wickford to be out and about for it is the visual experience that makes this hamlet within North Kingstown unique. Water, water everywhere to enjoy...even Santa appreciates it for how else would he arrive across the Narragansett Bay. Not enough snow for Rudolph and team...
