The Overlook at Battery Creek makes for a charming neighborhood and is a great addition to Beaufort. What used to be an unsightly trailer park across the street from an upscale gated community was turned into a pristine high-quality community of homes with plenty of open space and amenities.

Talk about creating the highest and best possible use of the land! The architects designed the Overlook in a truly grand Southern style, all the while keeping in mind preserving all the moss-laden live oak trees. Big Oak Park was created to save these centuries-old trees, which speaks a lot about the developer's commitment to preserving the landscape and adding value to the community.

This pedestrian-friendly neighborhood features amenities that include:

  • walking trails and a wooden foot path with rest stops of swings that overlook the marsh
  • sidewalks where you stroll along and can meet and greet your neighbors
  • community dock on Battery Creek where you can fish, crab, shrimp or launch a kayak
  • oyster house and pavilion with an outdoor fireplace
  • swimming pool, where you can swim laps, or sunbathe

The multi-level floor plans of every home in the Overlook have master bedrooms on the main floor. These homes were also designed for you to take advantage of the breezes off of Battery Creek while sipping your favorite beverage from your open-air porches.

The Overlook at Battery Creek was developed by PEC Development Group out of Atlanta, Georgia with help from Edward Pinckney Associates, Dominic Tringali Architects ad Allison Ramsey Architects. It has also been selected as 2007's best new home community with fewer than 150 units by the National Association of Home Builders Design Committee and Professional Builder magazine.
