Friday, July 30-Thursday, August 5. Blue Man Group – Making Waves! The newest traveling exhibit making a stop at EdVenture is fun for the entire family. Explore the 1,500-square-foot exhibit inspired by the musical Blue Man Group, participating in a playful way to learn about the science of sound and light. Using technology from JBL Audio Brand with the dynamic Blue Men as your guide, play the unique Blue Man Group instruments in a surround sound environment. On display through September 19. Saturday, July 31. Cromer's 75th Anniversary Finale. Cromer’s, the South Carolina institution for flavored popcorn and the state snack, peanuts, is getting back to their roots with a day of old-fashioned fun from 9 am-12 pm. There will be food (popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones for $1), music, kids events and even a bake-off with a $75 gift certificate to Cromer's as the winning prize. Thursday, August 5. First Thursdays at the Museum Shop! The Museum Shop is open for First Thursdays until 8 pm and features local artisans with their latest work for sale! In August, meet Alicia Leeke and check out her beautiful paintings and funky mousepads! The Museum Shop carries a beautiful selection of handcrafted one-of-a-kind gifts created by over 20 local artisans. Wood turned pieces, pine needle baskets, woven scarves, mosaics, mouse pads, pottery, glasswork and jewelry are just some of the unique works for sale.
