Parents looking for something fun for their children 12 and under for Halloween may want to check out Boo in the Park in Williamston. It is taking place on Saturday October 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park.
There will be inflatables, face painting, a halloween costume contest (for children ages 12 and under), rides on Thomas the Train, rides on Williamston’s antique fire engine, games such as horse shoes, a puppet show, and a haunted scout hut. There will be free candy for ages 12 and under and food vendors will also have items for sale.
Miss Union, Heather Caviness and Miss Anderson County, Elizabeth Ridgeway will judge the costume contest. Park gates will be locked and no traffic will be allowed through the park after 4 p.m to ensure safety for the little ones. You will need to park at the rear of the Williamston Municipal Center and beside McDonalds. Security will be provided by officers of the Williamston Police Department.
Don't worry about rain spoiling the good time because in case of rain they will move indoors to the Williamston Municipal Center.
