I love this story! Lake Moultrie just made history and this family will be passing this story down the line forever. This isn't about the one that got away... oh no and the photo proves it. Talk about a big ole fish frying party! I'd need a new fridge/freezer and whole bunch of great inspiring recipes to get through this fish...

Two fishermen say they caught a 138-pound catfish in Lake Moultrie in Cross.

A biologist is expected to look at the fish which may be a state record. According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources' website, the largest catfish ever caught in SC weighed in at just over 109. The massive blue catfish was caught in 1991.
The average size of a blue catfish is 3 to 40 pounds, according to DNR.
