About Mount Pleasant's Hobcaw Point

Hobcaw Point subdivision is located in Mt. Pleasant,SC on the Wando River.  The Wando River flows into the Cooper River which flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Hobcaw Point is only minutes from downtown Charleston, SC --Charleston is actually just across the river.

When Boyd & I moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1970, Hobcaw Point was well established with "older homes".  This subdivision is very family oriented.

There is the Hobcaw Yacht Club located at the back of thesubdivision and on the Wando River. The Yacht Club boasts a fantastic swimming pool on the Wando River, so the view is breathtaking. At the back of the Yacht Club and on the Wando River is a boat landing -- one can be in the Atlantic Ocean within minutes. The Yacht Club offers swimming lessons and sailing lessons.
    

There are approx. 380 homes located in Hobcaw Point -- the majority of the homes are one story brick homes that are draped with grand oak trees. Pine trees are very popular here as well. And I cannot forget the majestic magnolia trees.
