Sweetgrass is a subdivision that was established in 1989 by Centex
Company. It's location is ideal if you like the outdoors and/or shopping. You are literally minutes to the Isle of Palms & the Atlantic ocean. There are many golf courses within a short diving distance. Downtown Charleston, SC is about 15 minutes. Kiawah Island is about an hour's drive. Hilton Head is about 1.5 hourse drive.
Like Shopping? Sweetgrass is situated between Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre and Shoppes at Seaside Farms.
There are some homes that are built on a pond ---of course people pay more for those than the homes that are not on the pond. Unfortunately, those homes not on the pond do not have any access to the pond through the neighborhood. There is a 23 space boat parking place where homeowners can rent spots for $200 per year.
Sweetgrass subdivision does have a transfer fee which means that a buyer must pay this fee at closing. The fee is the sales price of the home multiplied by .002.(Example: sales price if $250,000 -- the transfer fee is 250,000 x .002 = $500).
Some of the streets in Sweetgrass are Horseshoe Bend and Oak Tree Lane.
