Now you can stream live video from your iPhone or Blackberry. That may be an invaluable tool if you are a Realtor and your clients are located far away. I just did my very first “Live Walk-Through” today. My clients were very happy to be able to see everything as I walked through their property right before closing. Together we explored every nook and cranny. It was as if they were there, only they were many miles away. The live video certainly put their minds at ease about closing by mail.

Later on I streamed live video to a client from New York who wanted to take advantage of a fabulous deal, but couldn’t make it to Myrtle Beach until the end of the month. He got a chance to see the property in detail by live video and is now comfortable making an offer on it.

There are two applications you can download into your smart phones:

UStream for the iPhone and

Qik for the Blackberry

Although Qik is now available as an iPhone application also, it will not stream live video (yet) from the iPhone.

Once your applications are downloaded into your smart phones and you register with the websites, you can start streaming live video. You can go live and then save the videos on the websites. You can also easily upload them to the other social network sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. It’s fast and convenient and your clients will love you for it.

Now you really have no excuse for not getting that iPhone! By the way, I have two phones on me at all times: a Blackberry and an iPhone. I use one to talk to my clients, while I shoot video with the other. The more technologically adept you are, the more Real Estate you can sell…

What happened? Work and responsibility took over my life and somehow I found less and less time for myself. When my grandmother passed away this spring, I started taking inventory of my life. I came to the realization that I worked more than I lived. Worst of all, I don’t even know when the change happened; it just did.

I’ve never backed down from a challenge and the past few years have been challenging, to say the least. I found myself working longer and longer hours, trying to somehow catch up. I just recently came to the realization that catching up is not possible in the market of 2009. I’m learning to prioritize better, delegate more, automate more, and say no more often. I am very picky about the clients I take. I am more careful about the time spent on tasks. I enter my discretionary activities like yoga classes on my calendar as appointments. If I don’t schedule my free time, I forget to take it…

Last week I ran a 5K race, something I haven’t done in years. This summer I went white water rafting, boating and hiking, again, something I haven’t done in years. This year I’m reclaiming my life. I am finally admitting to myself that although I thought I was a well balanced individual, with no addictions of any kind, I may indeed have a problem with working too much. I’ve started the repair process this summer.

Prioritize, delegate, automate and limit your work load, while at the same time dusting off helmets, skates, footballs or baseball bats! Call up old friends and throw a get together! Apparently, over the last three years, more than one in three honey bee colonies have died nationwide, posing a serious risk to our natural food supply.

One cause of these losses is an alarming phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder, or “CCD.” When a hive experiences CCD, the honey bees mysteriously desert their hive and die. CCD symptoms have been reported by more than thirty-five states across the U.S. and in many other countries.

Researchers do not know exactly what causes CCD, but they believe there may be many factors contributing to the problem, including viruses, mites, chemical exposure and poor nutrition.
