The annual award from the S.C. Association of School Administrators was announced in Columbia, SC. Waccamaw High School has been a finalist for the award for three consecutive years and this year took top prize. The award is one of the state's most prestigious and is considered a great honor for public school principals. The award is based on the instructional program, school culture, student achievement, and the quality of the faculty and staff. Waccamaw High School in Pawleys Island, S.C. rates "excellent" on the state report card and meets "adequate yearly progress" goals under the federal education law. The award continues to motivate administrators, teachers, and students to "keep up the good work."

Everyday is a perfect day here at the beach! I wake up in the morning and have to pinch myself to realize I am finally here in South Carolina and in Pawleys Island, the best part of the coastline in my opinion! I do not miss the snowy and icy, winters of the great state of Massachusetts. I still love to visit there, but I have found my little bit of heaven here in Pawleys Island. SC.

My mother was born and raised in NC and as children we visited every chance we could.

I have many cousins throughout the south and spent many of the happiest days of my childhood here. As an adult I once again found my roots in a quaint little fishing village town named Swansboro where my two wonderful children were born. My heart would always pull me back to Massachusetts where my close knit family lived. My dream had always been to live full time on the coast, where the majority of the year I could have the beautiful weather and more sunshine and maybe even palm trees surrounding me. I wanted a place where I would have things to do whenever I felt like keeping busy yet quiet enough that I was not caught up in the rat race of speeding traffic and honking horns! I also loved the idea of never having to pick up a snow shovel again! I wanted my family to come south with me.

To make a long story short, I now have my daughter, a sister and brother here with their families. In 2004 we ended up purchasing 5 homes here in Pawleys Island! We all wondered why we had not made the move sooner. My sister, who currently lives in Santa Monica CA, also purchased a second home here in Murrells Inlet in 2005. I have accepted the fact that one brother, and his family, will live the rest of his life in Massachusetts, we visit each other often, this gives a nice balance to my life. (Now my only hope is to have my son , who is now flying around Iraq, refueling planes and serving our country, in the U.S. Air Force, back in the US and living closer to mom).

Since my dream of living in paradise came true, I began to look towards a new dream of becoming a Real Estate agent. This too has been a great journey with many rewards! I love my life and find that where I live affects how I live. I believe my great success as a Real Estate Agent, yes even in this market, is due to my sincere desire to share the dream of owning a piece of heaven on earth with others. Relocated to Pawleys Island from Darien, Connecticut. Born and raised in New York City. Started my career in New York. Later, I was transferred to Minneapolis, Minn. While in Mpls., my family and I toured the west including Utah, Nevada, California, and the Dakotas. Then, back to New York City settling in Darien, Conn. where I became an active member of the Lions Club of Darien for 20+ years.

I am happily married with two children, two step-children, and seven grandchildren. And grandpa likes to spoil them all.

My career consists of 40+ years in the Computer field from computer operations to IT Manager. My management life cycle expanded over 25 years. I worked with General Motors, IBM, U.S. Tobacco, Litton Industries Credit Corp., and The Wheatley Group.
