Travelers Rest, SC

Last week Travelers Rest lost a 19 year old to a traffic accident. Chelsea Hawkins graduated from Travelers Rest High in 08 and had just started college on scholarship for softball. Last Sunday morning at 4 am she lost control of her car flip over and was thrown from her car, then was struck by a hit and run driver. The police dept is looking for a white Jeep that hit her and left. The family and kids in the area have done all they can to get attention to the traffic scene> There is a big billboard asking for information about the hit and run driver. Student's painted messages on the road where she was killed and fresh flowers are always left. This child died with such a wonderful future, please keep her family and friends in your prayers. I hope whoever hit Chelsea will have enough nerve to turm themselfs in, they think that she was already dead before the jeep hit her, and whoever hit her did not cause the accident. If they had stopped they would have not been in trouble, I have to thinkthey would have know they hit her, by now with all the news someone would have a clue about the white jeep, please pray for this person to while the community morns. Please always wear your seat belt, accidents happen within miles of your home, and kids and adults alike think that you can't get hurt minutes from home.
