Price Gouging is not fair and It hurts the economy. Why did the price of gas rise 30 cents when the storm is 200 miles out. They are driving the market once again. I remember during Hugo people were arrested for price gouging. The gas light came on , so I started looking for gas on the way home from NC. Three stations were out of gas. The one I found had a line, but I had no choice but to join them. I did not want to run out on the 15 mile stretch of nothing but woods I was about to go into . I watched a guy change the price while I was sitting at the pump. People were mad and a lot of people ask him what was up. He said the Hurricane is driving prices up. I think he knew the others were out of gas and he was going to hit it big, as traffic was back into the street. The government is out of control on this gas thing and It is nothing but speculation, and greed going on. How do they even know that this Hurricane is going to touch a gas platform or plant. I think it is not fair how they take advantage of people who are facing trouble do to a storm or natural disaster. They need to get tough like they did when Hugo hit Charleston. People were arrested for price gouging. What for price gouging and share your story. what do you think, is it right?

Someone went into the student parking today and wrote racist, nasty ,vulgar remarks on kids cars. They spray painted with black paint on cars park right out in the open. I can't believe someone with such limited intelligence would do so much damaged. One kid was drivinghis dads new white truck. The car next to my sons mustang had vulgar remarks all over it. My son was upset, and is afraid to drive his carback to school this week, for fear of more damages. These kids have after school jobs and have to pay for there cars just like adults. Now they have damage to there cars they can't afford to pay, some kids only have basic insurance. It seems they are playing a rival football team this week, and have beat the last 2 teams, it is felt it was done over this. Parents need to know what there kids are doing if they are out of school during the day. my son goes to a special class outside school for dual enrollment , when he came to school at 11.45 with the other kids from the school everything was fine, at 2 the parking lot had over 15 damaged cars. This is not right and who ever did this needs to have to pay for it all ,as well as face the max of charges. It is ashamed that you can't have anything , people think they have the right to damage and wear up things that are not there's, including public places. Tagging nad personal property damage is out of control. What ever happened to keep your hands to yourself!

Greenville City as put a curfew on downtown Greenville for kids under 18 for downtown falls area. To many unsupervised kids were hanging out in groups and roaming around. I don't thinkI would ever let my kids just hang out downtown. Are parents not afraid of there kids getting hurt, or kidnapped? We saw some middle school kids walking up and down the sreet one night, that is just asking for trouble. SO what is your opinion. Curfews or not?

I was at a ball game in Travelers Rest Friday night. It started to rain and the action slowed down. A group of kids were sitting behind me and they were talking about the economy and how hard it was to get to do things. A student said she spent her last $5.00 to come to the game. Here parents have told her she must have a part-time job to pay for extras and gas. A few agree times were hard and one kid said well, It's like my mom said dad will just have to work longer because he is suppose to support us. I thought my husband was going to fly apart as well as a few parents. But saved by 3 students who chimed out, who's going to help your dad when your selfish acts kill him, get a job and do your part, maybe your mom will learn from it. I thought, kids really do listen , you are setting the example, make sure what you are teaching.! I have heard pros and con's about kids working. My kids are allowed to work part time after school and Saturdays, but school work comes first. My son has a savings as well as my daughter. They are proud of there jobs and really put a lot of though into spending habits. My niece does not work and she expects it handed to her and she is always begging for money or trying to get friends to pay for her outings, and does not keep up with her things at all, she plays all the time, even through out the summer.. So what is your opinion?

Travelers Rest High School just won there 2nd game, last year they did not win 1 single game. Big improvement and great game! Congratulations to team aand school!!!!!!!! Team spirt goes a long way!
