About 25 minutes south of Nashville and 5 minutes east of Franklin TN, Arrington Vineyard is located in a small town (not even a traffic light but some luxury homes and farms) called Arrington .

Weekends in the spring, summer and fall folks from all the surround areas plan outings there with their friends or families. The vines are still young here so most of the grapes for their wines are brought in from California, but they do have an excellent wine made with their Tennessee grapes.

Because one of the co-owners of the Vineyard is Kix Brooks, formerly of Brooks and Dunn, entertainment is an important part of the Arrington weekend schedule. Check out the calendar to plan your next outing to Arrington.

This is the view from across the porch on Labor Day 2010. We missed the hot air balloons by a day. It would have been a bit too breezy for them this day anyway.

(not so) Speechless Sunday...

Friday, was one of those cold, damp, dreary days so atypical of the late autumn weather patterns here in middle Tennessee, not the early part of the season. Nevertheless, the beauty of the solace of a deserted rural road, the eerie silhouettes, and the last hurrah's of Indian summer, warmed the heart of this photographer on what most folks would call a morning not fit for man or beast ☺☺☺
