Starting Friday, Oct. 3, around 7 p.m. things will kick off with the theme Rock-A-Billy, featuring live 50s music, vintage cars and trucks and food including hot dogs, milkshakes and cherry and vanilla Cokes.
And starting around 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, food ranging from smokehouse sausage, gravy and biscuits and more hot dogs and cotton candy will be served; while the main feature of the day will be the Parade of the Proud. The march will feature veterans, city officials, local ball teams, cheerleaders, school organizations, scouts, bikers, dog owners, Jeep owners and more.
Also on Saturday, there will be music from all venues including gospel and bluegrass, country, western swing and pop/rock. And the fair will offer a slew of activities for everyone -- booths of crafts, antiques, sports, a dunking booth, magic, soap making, wood turning, art, wrestling, competitive games, a petting zoo, an auction, gift design, storytelling, Baxter history rides, a railroad family, a Friends of the Baxter Depot reunion and a railroad educational booth.

There will be approximately 12 stops along the way, each one dealing with a different character. Each character will be dressed in keeping with their particular time in History and will present a 2-5 minute talk dealing with life in their particular time period. Characters will deal with historic locals and also some of National renown.

The Project Management Institute defines a project as "A temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product or service." The problem most companies have is that the project doesn't end up temporary and frequently exceeds expectations, at least as far as the time required to complete the project is concerned. This workshop will help you grasp the "ABC's" of developing, managing, and implementing a successful project.
Who Should Attend: Attendees should include anyone who takes an active role as a resource on a project. The course is not designed to assist a Project Manager, but it is meant to address the need for a better understanding by those participants in a project endeavor.

Speaking is not always defined in terms of giving a speech. Speaking is frequently a conversation over the water cooler or over pizza at lunch. Even though we can speak it is not necessarily true that we can communicate. Even if we can communicate we may not always communicate what we had hoped to communicate.
The tools that are used by the great speakers can be learned. These techniques can be applied to presentations given to a roomful of strangers or a conversation with an employee or friend. For example, "knowing your audience" is essential to all conversations. Effective speaking is essential to effective leadership.
Who Should Attend: This seminar is designed for all employees who want to use effective communication and relationship management for everyday interactions.
