Historic Franklin TN Home Sales for February 2012 provided by Tammie White:
Since many of the Historic Franklin homes can date as far back as the 1830's, the inventory can linger on the market for quite awhile waiting for the right buyer.
February home sales had a surprisingly low days on the market and were at a lower price range than usually found in Historic Franklin.
Of the twelve homes currently listed, four are already under contract that have not been moved into pending sales yet. The remaining homes range in price from $299,000 to $850,000. This may be an ideal time to sell your Historic Franklin home.
If you are interested in a Franklin TN home for sale or wish to sell your Franklin TN home, contact Tammie White, your Franklin TN REALTOR®, at (615) 495-0752.

Wishing You a Merry Christmas from Franklin TN!
I love Christmas. I especially love Christmas music. So I thought I would share a Christmas tune with you this Christmas Eve. I have many favorites; Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, White Christmas, O Come All Ye Faithful, but this year I decided to share a music video that showcases my hometown, Franklin TN, Under the Mistletoe by Justin Bieber.
This music video was filmed sometime in October. The city of Franklin closed off the streets of historic downtown to film this music video. It brought out huge crowds. I'm quite sure every teenage girl within a hundred miles made the trek to downtown Franklin.
I'm not as big a fan of the Biebs as I am Bing Crosby but I love that Franklin TN was chosen for this video.

Franklin Theatre Presents White Christmas December 22, 2011 - December's Season of Celebration and Sharing
One of my favorite pastimes every year is watching the old classic Christmas movies. We start off the Christmas season every year by watching Holiday Inn over the Thanksgiving weekend.
This year, Franklin Theatre is showing some of my favorite Christmas movies on the big screen. On December 22, Franklin Theatre will present White Christmas. You can purchase tickets to attend one of three showings: 1;30, 4:30 or 7:30.
Start your Christmas season off right by attending this event.
Here is one of my favorite scenes from the movie:

Franklin TN Dickens of a Christmas Street Festival
One of the wonderful things about living in Franklin TN is frequenting the many festivals offered through the Heritage Foundation. These festivals bring thousands of visitors to historic downtown Franklin.
This weekend, Dickens of a Christmas will converge on the streets of historic Franklin. There will be more than 250 Victorian era costumed characters. They look as though they just leaped off the pages of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol.
This will be the 26th year this free street festival will be gracing the streets of our fair city.
Festivities run Saturday, December 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 11, noon to 5 p.m. Who wouldn't like to meet Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and his family, as well as the cast of characters from Oliver.
In addition to the street festival, there are several Dickens-related events. Studio Tenn is performing A Christmas Carol at the Franklin Theatre and Boiler Room Theatre located at The Factory is performing Oliver. You can also frequent Lillie Belle's, Marcia's Patisserie and St. Paul's Episcopal Church to participate in a high tea.
Don't be a Scrooge and come out for the festivities.

Franklin TN Small Business Saturday a Huge Success
Today was the 2nd Annual Small Business Saturday in Franklin TN. The event was a huge success. With temperatures near 75 degrees, consumers were out in full force to support the many small businesses in town.
Franklin is known for it's very viable historic downtown so it's no surprise that consumers were out today in support of this event. Not only were shops over-flowing but it was difficult to get a seat at the many eateries in town.
My daughter is in from college and it was a must to visit her two favorite places: Merridee's Breadbasket and Sweet Cece's.
She also did some Christmas shopping at several of the very unique shops in town.
Thanks to all those who keep historic downtown Franklin such a wonderful place to eat, shop and hangout.
