This year's Lexington High School BIG RED CLASSIC Baseball Tournament got off to a great start last night. Other area teams competing in this annual event include McKenzie, Clarksburg, Trinity Christian Academy, Riverside, Perry County and local favorite Lexington High School.
Last night's first game was a long nail biter with McKenzie topping Riverside 8-7 in 7 innings! Less exciting was Lexington's 13-1 win over TCA.
Join us this week for a wonderful beginning to the LHS baseball season at Guy B. Amis Park. Games are scheduled nightly at 5 and 7. The concession stand is open and the freshly grilled food is a culinary delight. You just can't beat the grilled chicken sandwich or the grilled bologna sandwich!

Right in the middle of lovely little Lexington Tennessee you will find beautiful Beech Lake. This 1000 acre man-made lake was constructed by TVA in the 1960's. It is a part of the Beech River Watershed Development Authority that maintains and manages this lake along with 5 other area lakes. For only $15 annually, people can boat, swim, ski, fish and sunbathe on this lake (or any of the BRWDA lakes).
Lake front living is available with lake properties starting in the low $200's.
If this sounds good to you, give me a call.
I would love to chat with you about our great community!
All the Best!

Have you been to your city park lately? With spring just around the corner, most parks across the country will be in full swing before you know. I am particularly fond of this time of year because going to the park allows me to see people that I don't see anywhere else. Come spring Guy B. Amis Park becomes a mecca for folks of all ages.

There is SO much to do at this great park. Baseball is KING & softball it's QUEEN and here you will find the fields for Lexington High School along with fields for Babe Ruth,Little League, Dixie Youth, & ASA Softball. In a couple of weeks LHS will host it's annual Big RED Classic Tournament with teams from all over West Tennessee competing for the title.

But hey baseball's not all we have, the park provides many opportunities including an inline hockey rink, skateboard park, tennis courts, basketball court and soccer fields. There is a large swimming pool open for the summer season as well.
I'll see you at the Park!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending an ceremony where one of our local factories, Fluid Routing Systems, announced that they were expanding their facility here in our community. They had other choices, of course, but they chose to bring these jobs here to Lexington. I think that says alot about our community, our workforce and our city and county administration. I love living here and this helps us make a living here as well!
