I found an old blog that I wrote in 2006 with market statistics for Breckenridge in North Murfreesboro. Breckenridge has always been one of the most popular developments in Murfreesboro because of the convenient location to shopping and dining, zoned all Siegel schools, quick access to I24 and 840, wide streets, large lots, sidewalks, tennis court, and two community pools.
The current housing market has impacted home sales in Murfreesboro and there is no argument that this is a buyer’s market. However, as these statistics from 2006 compared to today show, our market is down but certainly not devastated like in many parts of the country. CNN Money Magazine just selected Murfreesboro TN has ranking 20th in the nation for Most Afforable Housing. Our housing market has always been stable and the slight decrease in value, and longer average days on market, make seller’s more willing to negotiate price and gives buyers a rare opportunity to maximize their investment with lower average sales prices accompanied with historically low interest rates.
