Market Trends January 2012
Homes sales in the Nashville TN area have increased each month for 7 months straight compared to the same months a year ago.
January saw prices increase almost 1.5% compared to January of 2011. The actual number of closings increased 16%!
Realtors are saying that business has picked up tremendously. Most feel that the bottom on home prices has hit and are seeing price increases. People are feeling more confident about the economy and their jobs locally.
The Nashville TN Real Estate market, as recently as last year, saw homes lingering on the market for months and months. Many Sellers just gave up and let their listings expire. As a result, inventory is way down. December of 2011 saw the most gain, 21.4%, and had the most sales since 2007.
Recent reports from around the country are relaying similar results. A post by ActiveRain on Real Estate Values shares data discussing the Recovery or Not.
Many Sellers put their homes on the market in the spring. With the lower inventory, and mild weather, now is really the time to get it on the market. Real Estate is Local and Nashville TN is no different. If you are thinking of Buying or Selling a home we strongly recommend that you find a local Realtor who can help you with your Real Estate needs.
