About Nashville's West End

I have had the pleasure of dining with friends and family on several different occasions at Bricktop's on West End in Nashville.

Although I sorely miss Houston's which was a Nashville staple for years, Bricktop's offers great American cuisine for around $20/person (lunchtime that is) - expect to pay a bit more for dinner.

I have not been disappointed with anything I have tried at Bricktop's, from the fish tacos to the ribs! Great chicken salad as well, plus a killer key lime pie and also I have heard that "The Chocolate Chip" is also amazing - a chocolate chip cookie in a warm skillet with ice cream and caramel drizzled on top.... yummy!

I know this last one is a bad pic, but if you look just to the right of the flash, you will see a pair of frogs dancing under the chandelier - too cute!

DEFINITELY give Bricktop's a try if you are in the neighborhood - I have NEVER been disappointed!

If you are in the mood for Italian with a flair, be sure to visit Amerigo's on West End close to Downtown! Open for Lunch and Dinner (and a GREAT Sunday Brunch!), Amerigo's has been a stable source of Italian food for Nashvillians since 1987.

One of my favorite dishes at Amerigo's is "straw and hay", which is spinach and flour linguine noodles with alfredo sauce, green peas, ham and mushrooms! And their tiramisu is to die for! My friend Glenda swears it's the best in Nashville!

There are six locations throughout the southeast, including the one on West End in Nashville and also one in Brentwood, TN.

Ten of us went for lunch today - Amerigo's does a drawing where they giveaway lunch for ten people eat for free! Glenda won it, so we had a great time chowing down there today!!! Thanks, Amerigo's!
