Campion Trails, part of the Texas Trails Network is expanding.. Pat OReilly, Irving Texas Real Estate Agent. CAMPION TRAILS EXTENSION PROJECT is set to BEGIN construction in February. Work on the expansion of Twin Wells Park into Trinity View Park is set to begin this month. The project will extend the trail system 1.5 miles north from Mountain Creek Preserve for a total of 3.5 miles of primary trail in the southern section of Campión Trails. It includes 7,145 linear feet of 12-foot-wide concrete primary trail, one 90-linear-foot pedestrian bridge, five low-flow pedestrian crossings, four paver crosswalks, park benches and trash receptacles. The project will be funded through a grant from the Dallas County Trail and Preserve Program and is expected to be completed by August.
Campion Trails has Walking Jogging Hiking Road Bicycling In-Line Skating Nature Study Birding and currently has 5.3 miles of

Largest Net Zero Middle School in the United States is being designed by IRVING Independant School District. The building will be designed to produce more energy than it uses..thus net zero. The Irving ISD administrators are in the beginning stages of designing what will become the largest net zero middle school in the United States. The building will use new technology and have it's own generatior which will allow the Middle School to produce as much energy as it uses from the electric grid.Irving ISD says "The net zero school will reinforce teaching and learning as it becomes an extended classroom where students can gain hands-on experiences working to explore geothermal science, rainwater collection, solar panel usage, wind turbine efficiency and other issues related to energy conservation." The Irving Independent School District is looking for alternative funding to make this dream a reality.
