Volunteer Time for Austin Realtor

As a Realtor I want to give back to my community so I chose ten years ago to drive for the North Austin Caregivers. This organization helps the elderly get to doctor's appointments, shop for groceries, take pets to vet clinics, small repairs, attend classes at churches and much more.

Last Thursday, Oct. 20, North Austin Caregivers held their 7th annual Coffee Talk Fundraiser. Genuine Joes in the Crestview n'borhood of North Austin hosted the fundraiser. The coffee, tea and yummy brownies were a treat for all.

A silent auction was held as well as drawing for many door prizes. I took home 25 scratch off lottery tickets (won 11 dollars!) while others won IPad, Kindle, handmade quilts and gift certificates to restaurants around town.

Musicians entertained the crowd

The Crestview neighborhood in Austin, TX has it all: close to downtown, the UT campus and the shops on Burnet Road, as well as skyrocketing property values for its 1950s cottages. When buyers are asked about their favorite neighborhoods, Crestview is often at the top of their lists.

Because of that same popularity, first-time home buyers often find it difficult to afford a Crestview cottage at their price points. Crestview home prices have remained stable through the nationwide economic slowdown and remodeling has continued in the neighborhood.
