There is always something fun happening in south Austin!! The Annual Austin Artisan's Showcase is October 15th, 2009. It is presented by the Onion Creek Ladies Associationand the public is welcome! This is a great chance to shop for unique and hand made items. All proceeds will benefit several local charities. There will be: Holiday decor and home decor, jewelery, purses, luggage, shoes, eye-wear, baby items, and much more! The fee to get in is a mere $5 and it goes to charity. There will be live music by Heartstrings to enhance your shopping experience. There will be hourly drawings for prizes and Demaret Grill will have a limited menu if you need some sustenance to keep shopping! So shop with a purpose and shop to support a good cause!

Hello Everyone, I have been following the story of the Onion Creek BUYOUT since last year at this time when I was contacted by a resident of the area, they lived in the first Voluntary Buyout section of Onion Creek Yarrabee Bend. I helped the clients find and purchase a new home.. our transaction was pretty easy and the closing went smoothly. That is what I would like to help you do also. FIND A NEW HOME, represent you!

Tonight is one of the first meetings being held with the residents who will be affected by the BUYOUT PLAN, this is a joint effort with the US Corp of Engineers and City of Austin. Its my understanding this is a MANDATORY BUYOUT. The buyout is being conducted by the HDR Company. They are not relocating the residents, they are facilicating the buyout transistion.

I went to the City of Austin yesterday .. to the Public Works department and spoke to Shannon, who stated the CITY of Austin can not recommend any Realtor for their residents. Each resident must find and chose their own Realtor.

I urge you to go to the meeting being held for your information and ask questions. I wish I could attend with you to help you find the right questions to ask, but I have been told by Ms Ruby and Shannon that Realtors are not welcome to the meetings. The meetings are only for residents or homeowners.
