Bastrop Texas is one of the Distinctive Destinations for historic and vintage homes with over 100 homes and buildings. Bastrop is proud of it's history and heritage and during the holidays in the past the Bastrop Historical society has put together a Holiday Homes tour which is a great opportunity to see these period homes in their holiday's finest. There is a downtown area with historic buildings that falls in between Walnut, Spring, Water, and Church Streets, Many of the historic homes are located on Main, Pecan, Church, and Chestnut Streets. The Old Iron Bridge that crosses the Colorado and welcomes you into downtown Bastrop was added to the National Register of Historic places in 1990. You can see many styles of homes reflected in Bastrop's historic district including Greek Revival, Queen Ann, Craftsman, Victorian, and Italianate.
If you are considering the purchase or sale of a historic or vintage home in Bastrop or surrounding counties please contact me. I would love to help you reach your real estate goal.
