When An Open House Visitor Won't Leave.
What's an agent to do when it's time to end the open house and one of the visitors won't leave?
This critter entered with a couple just a few minutes after the open house began. He initially had trouble getting good footing on the ceramic tile entry, but successfully wiggled his way to the carpet in the formal living room. The couple wandered through the home and eventually left, but the lizard decided he liked the house and was going to look around a bit longer.
Every once in a while I'd check on Larry. He hung out in the living room for about an hour. When I went to check on him again, I found him in the utility room where he remained for the rest of the open house.
Since this is a vacant property, there's nothing in there designed for lizard rescue, not even a broom. Larry and I discussed the situation. I was perfectly happy to lock him in when I left, with the understanding that he'd find his way out tonight. I hope he keeps his promise. Or decides to make an offer on the house.

It was great to be a part of high tech real estate agents at the raincamp yesturday. Great info, sharing of ideas, fast pace! Impressive to learn how Donna from Austin closed 23 transactions from blogging alone. Made me a beleiver.
I am here at Dunns Brothers coffee shop on beltline in Carrollton/Addison area, drive my son to tennis practice in Farmers Branch here at Brookhaven Country Club.
Thought I would share a tip. Realtor.com is not that bad! The new Iphone app lets you find a property for sale and post it to tweeter and facebook in seconds. Just posted two properties for sale, one is a REO in Briarwyck Estates that I am near. I have been in Briarwyck with clients before and know that area. The app lets you find properties by a mile or more radius and then you can quickly post it or email it.
By the way all my buyers search realtor.com and complain that there are not enough photos there for some properties. Also, the realtor.com post only active for sale, sold and pending are out instantly. I did a check on random areas in Corinth, TX for homes for sale and Carrollton TX homes for sale and it comes up fast and accurate. Just thought some of you might want to know. Any referals in Corinth, TX, Lake Dallas, TX, Carrollton, TX, Addison, TX would be greatly appreciated,
