Homes for sale in Cedar Creek, Texas are appealing because of their proximity to Austin and the airport in particular. While the location is ideal, the landscape is pure country, with homes at many different price points featuring lots over one acre. I recently attended a housewarming dinner for some clients whom I helped buy a home in Cedar Creek, and they were going on and on about how much they loved living there. They've met their neighbors already and have referred other clients to me in the space of just a few weeks!
If you and your family are looking for a place to settle that's outside of the hustle and bustle that Austin is famous for, Cedar Creek would be near the top of my list of suggestions for you!
(For those of you who aren't familiar, Cedar Creek is basically between Austin and Bastrop, just off of Highway 71.)
The landscape features small hills and lots of cedar elm and post oak trees. The new high school opened this year and is one of the most state-of-the-art educational facilities in the area.

Bluebonnet Acres is a small lake community that is about 13 miles southeast of Austin on the way to Cedar Creek and Bastrop just beyond.

The private Clear Springs Lake attracted land and homeowners who wanted to live a country lifestyle with lake privledges.

Homes in the area can range from big site built estate style homes to small manufatured homes and generally are set on at least one acre if not more. The subdivision is accessed from Highway 71 feeder road called Union Chapel and slopes down to the lake park. Horses are allowed within the published restrictions.

The highway frontage properties in Bluebonnet Acres have lent themselves to commercial applications and there are quite a few established businesses that have taken advantage of the location which includes a beautiful bed and breakfast, a construction company, storage, and dog boarding and grooming.
