Forest Oaks is a community of homes located in Cedar Park, Texas, built by Ryland Builders. Unlike other Master Planned Communities, it is a unified subdivision with no separated neighborhoods. It is half an hour Northwest from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Downtown Austin, located just off of the 183 toll road.
The average age of the homes in this neighborhood are between 10 and 15 years old. Homes tend to be between 3 or 4 bedrooms with 2 - 2.5 baths. The square footage can range between 2,019 square feet and 2,805 square feet. Homes can be found here starting as low as $229,000 and selling for as high as $345,000. The median seemed to be around the upper $200k's.
Forest Oaks is an incredibly family friendly neighborhood. It has a meticulously manicured neighborhood park with access to a 2.5 mile greenbelt trail for bikers and hikers alike. It also has a clubhouse, two pools and a play-scape available to residents. Cedar Park is within the Leander School District, where all schools have at least an "Acceptable" rating.
But besides the amenities offered at Forest Oaks, what kind of shopping and "stuff to do" is there near by?
Good question! Forest Oaks is close to shopping and recreation alike. Nearby grocery stores include HEB and Randalls. There is also Lakeline Mall a short drive away. For recreation there are a number of parks and golf courses in the area such as Cedar Park (yes the actual park!), and Avery Ranch Golf Course. For food you have anything from Which Wich Sandwiches to Jungle Juice to Hayashi for the sushi lovers out there.
