Bay Area Habitat For Humanity

Nancy Anderson: Real Estate Broker in Deer Park, TX

Is one of your New Year's resolutions to serve in your local community and impact families internationally? Join the fight to address the poverty housing crisis facing millions worldwide through the Habitat for Humanity 2012 Women Build Project!

One-third of the families that live in our Habitat homes are single moms. Can you imagine having three children and no place to live? Women Build recipient, Tiffany Gilmore, can. In the wake of hurricane Katrina, Tiffany was left to fend for herself and her three children. Moving from New Orleans in 2009, the Gilmore family was forced to move into a homeless shelter in Houston. It was in this state she came to us.

Through the service and generosity of women like you, now Tiffany is a proud Habitat homeowner, and respected manager of a local grocery store. Tiffany is excited for her future, and proud of the progress her family has made.

There are many more stories like this, and you can help. Contact Rachel Ward at the Habitat office to get registered for the 2012 Women Build & 5K Walk at rward@bahfh.org or 281-337-3590.
