One of Bluegreen Communities's most unique properties located just miles from College Station, Texas, is King Oaks. The communityoffers all of the excitement and events that a big college town has to offer, but in a world away from city life.
On Independence Day, King Oaks is teaming up with local builder members of the Bryan-College Station Homebuilders Association and Operation FINALLY HOME – an organization that honors wounded and disabled servicemen and veterans with new homes, to surprise a local war veteran with news that he'll be receiving a new home and land.
A former marine will learn that they are to receive a 1-acre homesite and plans for a new, custom-built home at King Oaks during the annual “I Love America” celebration hosted by the College Station Noon Lions Club at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum on Independence Day. The home will be built by local builder members of the Bryan-College Station Homebuilders Association – an alliance of several local, independent builders and contractors.
A brief ceremony will also take place the following day on Tuesday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Aiken's King Oaks homesite to show the family floorplans to their new home. A brief reception will follow, and lunch will be provided. If you would like to attend the event, RSVP to april@nunezprgroup.com. Business and donors interested in contributing to Support Our Troops/Operation FINALLY HOME can visit http://www.babasupport.org/.
