The Lakeview Quilters Guild will present the "Birds of a Feather" quilt show in Alvin on Friday, May 18th and Saturday, May 19th at Victory Camp. “Everybody Loves Opal!” will be presented Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Pearland Community Center, next to City Hall. There will be great food, singing waiters, and a mouth-watering dessert bar! And, after your dinner, you can enjoy a comic play just for adults!

This date night is a real value – just $27.50 per person, or $50 per couple for a fabulous dinner and hilarious comedy starring some of Pearland’s best actors.

The proceeds from the dinner theater will benefit the building fund of Kids’BackporchProductions.org.

On Friday, doors open at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m., and the play starts at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner is at 5:30 p.m., and the play starts at 6:30 p.m.

Keep Pearland Beautiful will be on the attack on February 25th against cigarette butts. Their campaign slogan is "Don't Leave Your Butt Behind"....great slogan! The Group will target five intersections in Pearland.

Last year, 23 volunteers picked up 12,200 butts in a two hour period! The goal is to create awareness for this problem - not to eliminate cigarette butts.

This year, volunteers (13yrs and up) will go out again and pick up cigarette butts. There will be special gifts for the first 30 Volunteers to arrive on Saturday , February 25th
