• Lighter Fluid
• Medicine
• Metal Cleaner and Polish
• Nail Polish Remover
• Oven Cleaner
• Paint
• Paint Stripper
• Toilet Bowl Cleaner
• WD-40
• Wood Cleaner and Polish

The following items will not be accepted at the public household hazardous waste collection event in College Station:

• 55-Gallon Drums
• Ammunition
• Explosives
• Household Trash
• Tires
• TVs

Small businesses can only bring in their old computers. They will need to make arrangements for any other hazardous waste they need to dispose of. If you have any questions, please call the Household Hazardous Waste Hotline at 979-764-3809.

It's official! College Station is tops for business and careers in Texas. Forbes' list of Best Small Cities for Business and Careers ranked College Station in its #9 position, making it the highest-placing Texas city on their list. Forbes compiled their list by looking at living costs, business costs, quality of life (including crime rate, recreational opportunities and cultural diversity), projected job growth, historical job growth, educational opportunities and the amount of colleges in the area that were named on Forbes' annual America's Best Colleges list.
