On Christmas day my husband Roger and I took a drive to the coast. All of our family where elsewhere and we did not feel like just becoming couch potatoes.
On the way we stopped at Goliad, at the Presidio La Bahia. This is where among other thingsSanta Anna order the execution of Col. Fannin and his men after holding them captive for over a week, known as the Goliad Massacre during the Texas revolution.
Of course everything was closed so we walked around the exterior of the Presidio. I took some photos of Roger looking in to the square thru one of the many defensive holes in the wall.
You can read more about the Presidio and the Texas history that surrounds it at http://www.presidiolabahia.org/index.html
