* Caterpillar will be breaking ground on the plant TO BE BUILT IN SEGUIN TEXAS on Jan. 21. The 1 million-square-foot plant will be built on 180 acres along Interstate 10 at Texas 46 and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2011.

*Caterpillar Inc. will build a $170 million engine-manufacturing plant that will employ more than 1,400 people. WOW! The average wage for the 1,400 jobs will be $21 an hour. The assembly, paint and testing plant will build engines for the truck, marine and electric power industries.

Seventy percent of the engines produced in this facility will be exported to other parts of the world.

This investment in Caterpillar will not only create high-paying jobs for Texans, but will strengthen our state's overall economic situation.

Since its inception over 80 years ago, Caterpillar has grown to be the world's largest maker of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines

I love supporting local spots and I love drinking a good cup of coffee.

I ran into Java Junction this morning and had a chance to do both of those things!

Right past Garden Ridge and a smidge into Schertz is this cute little Coffee house +!

The plus is what intrigued me.

Brewed coffee, Espresso, Blended drinks, Teas, Protein drinks, smoothies, Juice, Bottled water, Bagels, Sweets, Sandwiches, Sodas & Sandwiches!

What more could you ask for?

OH! How about Free Wi-Fi? Java Junction's got it!

The store is clean and the coffee is great. There are spots to sit inside or out.
