COMMUNITY PARK CORSICANA, TX

Community Park is located at 400 Oaklawn Drive. This 45.5 acre park wraps along Oaklawn. Near the northeast entrance is the YMCA. There is something for everyone at this location! Beebe Field Baseball Complex is where the local little league baseball games are held. There is a soccer field, practice soccer field, Mertz Tennis Courts, 1.6 mile hike and bike trail, various playgrounds, picnic pavilion, gazebo, skate pad ramps, water spray park and BMX track.This is a great way to spend the day and enjoy the outdoors. It is also a pretty route to get in those exercise walks on the trail.

Bunert Park is located at 201 Bunert Park Road in Corsicana, TX just off of East Highway 31. This 16.5 acre park was obtained in 1958 with the help of Mr. Albert Bunert, Sr., later inheriting the Bunert name. It is a community park for all to enjoy the swimming pool, softball field, basketball courts, picnic pavilion, playground system and jogging trail. It is a beautiful park with large oak shade trees. Many community and memorial events are hosted here throughout the year as well as a baseball practice field for the local little leagues.

The Pocket Park is located at 118 North Beaton Street in Downtown Corsicana. The park is nestled between two buildings and was selected by the Arts in Public Places Committee as its first project to become a pocket park. The park's area is approximately 3000 square feet where locals and tourist can discover a pretty place to sit, visit or have lunch.

Occasionally, you may hear a band playing or smell food cooking for various sponsored events held at the Pocket Park. The cascading water fountain, landscape and bricked stage area also make for a lovely photo shoot location.

Corsicana Visitor Center is located on the south end of historic Beaton Street and 7th Ave (Highway 31). The Visitor Center is a quaint and welcoming building that is a beautifully restored railroad freight office.

If you are a resident or a visitor, it is a nice treat to stop by and visit. The people that work here are very friendly, the atmosphere is nice and the informational pamphlets are many and include Historic Corsicana information as well.

There are also booklets and maps for surrounding areas; DFW, Grapevine, East Texas and more! Open Monday-Saturday 10 am-4 pm.

Corsicana Main Street Project has many available incentives to encourage investors and business owners to invest in the Corsicana Downtown area. Incentives can be used for restoration, renovation, rehabilitation and preservation of commercial buildings. All incentives are subject to design approval by the Main Street Design Committee. Interested parties can take advantage of possible loan programs, discounted materials from participating vendors, small grants, free architectural and engineering design assistance, tax abatement and property tax freeze.
