Richland Chambers Fishing Tournament

There will be a 75 couple fishing tournament held at Oak Cove Marina on Richland Chambers Lake. The date is Sunday February 8th 2009. Don't miss it!!!!

Richland Chambers View Homes and Property

I attended a strategic planning metting for Richland Chambers Lake this week. The meeting is held on the first Wed. of every month at Oak Cove Marina at 4 pm.

This group discusses plans to enhance the Richland Chambers Reservoir area. We talked about websites, signage, improving road conditions, and welcoming people to our community. There were lake residents, business owners, and county officials in attendance. Corsicana recently conducted a study of how the Richland Chambers Fishing tournaments affect the Navarro County economics. There were 19 or more tournaments in 2008 and studies say that the Richland Chambers area brought in over 1.3 Million in dollars to the County. This is great news for residents of this area and hopefully we will see more of this happening as we move forward in 2009.

Richland Chambers Lake is a great place to enjoy a day of Fishing in Texas. There are a variety of species here including: Largemouth Bass, Sand Bass, Hybrid Bass, Yellow Bass, and nearly every variety of Catfish. The Lake Also offers public Deer, Duck, and Bird Hunting areas.
