About Cypress' Covenant Academy

If you live in the Cypress, TX area, and you don't have curbside recycling in your neighborhood, COVENANT ACADEMY on Telge just north of Cypress N. Houston has a recycling bin!! Located on the south end of the parking lot, the bin accepts your paper, plastic, and aluminum recyclables.

Paper products include newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and phone books.

Plastic containers #1-5, #7 (rinsed and drained)

Aluminum and Tin Cans (rinsed and drained)

Our family goes through quite a bit of plastic with all the milk, apple juice, Gatorade, and bottled water we consume. So, we are looking forward to being able to recycle all these items!

COVENANT ACADEMY is located at 11711 Telge Rd. Cypress, TX 77429. Coming from Houston headed WEST on 290, exit Telge and turn RIGHT (north). Continue past Cypress N. Houston and soon thereafter you will see COVENANT ACADEMY on your LEFT.

Tomorrow, February 22, 2011, COVENANT ACADEMY will host an open house for prospective families from 9-11 AM (classroom observation) and again from 7-9 PM (presentation and faculty introductions).

Almost ready to enjoy our Egyptian feast! :)

"WHAT is COVENANT ACADEMY?" you ask. COVENANT ACADEMY is a private, Christian school, established by a group of parents committed to providing a classical Christian education for their children. Covenant Academy was officially incorporated in March 2003 with classes for kindergarten through eighth grade. On September 2, 2003, Covenant Academy began its first school year with 33 families and 18 teachers. By 2008, the school had outgrown the space it was leasing from a Cypress-area church. In that year, Covenant Academy merged with Cy-Fair Christian Academy (CFCA). In June 2008, Covenant Academy relocated to CFCA's nine-acre tract of land and beautiful 24,000-square foot facility located on Telge Road. Covenant offers quality Christian classical education for children in grades K-8. Plans for a K-12 school are currently underway.

My daughter began attending COVENANT this fall, 2010, and I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful school, faculty, staff, and the families that make up the "COVENANT FAMILY". I am thankful to God for this opportunity for her to receive a classical education from caring, Christian teachers. When she went for orientation this summer, she commented, "Mom, the teachers REALLY CARE!"

So, if you are thinking COVENANT might be the place for your child(ren), I invite you to come check it out tomorrow! If you are unavailable tomorrow, no worries! We submitted an application last year without attending the open house. You may want to call the office to schedule a time to talk with a staff member about your interest.
