HOLDER'S IN DOBBIN, TX ~ A TRUE TEXAS JOINT!

If you have never experienced a true Texas joint (aka burger place), then you MUST stop by the thriving metropolis of Dobbin, Texas. Located just a few miles west of Montgomery, TX on Hwy 105 is a lone blinking light at the intersection of Hwy 104 and FM 1446.

If you blink, you WILL miss it. You don't want to miss it however as you will have just passed by one of the coolest places and the BEST burgers and bar-b-que anywhere! Make sure you make time if heading in that direction or better yet, make a trip out there. This is one of those places you just have to experience by being there.

On Saturday my friend Edith and I were heading in that direction. Edith being from New York, I knew that she needed to experience Holder's. Even tough the temperature on the car said 104 degrees, we were determined to experience the Texas burger joint!

We had the BEST burgers ever! Oh my they are great. So very worth the drive out there. Pictured with me is Miss Edith and the owner, Bobby Holder. It was great that Mr. Holder was there as he gave us a personal tour.

WANT A GOOD OLD FASHIONED TEXAS BURGER????

The drive to Dobbin, Texas located out on Highway 105 west between Montgomery and Plantersville is the place to go if you are looking for a great burger and Texas ambiance!

Holder's is right on the corner of Hwy 105 and FM 1486. You can't miss it by the Pig sign! Totally worth going! Place your order at the window and then sit outside on the porch and relax. The sign at the window where you order your food says, "If you are in a hurry, go to Houston!"

Yum is the only way to describe these juicy burgers. I enjoyed the onion rings too and didn't feel guilty at all for the indulgence.

A great get-a-way from the city and to forget about the stress of life!
