AARP Tax-Aide is the nation's largest free volunteer tax counseling reparation service, and it is looking for volunteers to learn tax law and prepare basic income taxes for low and middle income taxpayers, especially to those over age 60. Tax counselors must have good computer skills, and be able to commit to a minimum of four hours weekly from February 1 until April 15. Training will be provided in January. Friendswood's Heritage Gardeners 44th annual Christmas Home Tour will take place on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23. Begin the tour with lunch in a beautifully decorated tearoom, browse the Christmas bazaar, and enter the raffle if you wish. There will be homemade baked items for sale.
