The local newspapers, television outlets and radio stations like to report negative stories regarding the housing market in Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and other North Dallas Suburbs. After hearing these stories, I am sure the general public thinks it is very difficult to ever buy or sell a home in North Texas.
Given all of the negative news that is being pushed by the media, I wanted to take a minute and blog about a successful sale that I just completed. Until now, I have been on Active Rain for three years and have never chosen to write about a particular sale of mine. Now, I just think the time is right for the North Texas buyers and sellers to hear some good news.

In 2002, I originally sold Steve this Frisco home located at 11608 Charlotte Lane. In 2002, Steve was being relocated to North Texas for work.
After diligently staying in touch with Steve for nine years with many handwritten notes, Steve decided to hire me in May 2011 to sell his Frisco house. He did not interview any other listing agents.
After marketing his home with professional still photography, professional virtual tour photography, open houses for general public, REALTOR luncheon and broad exposure across the Internet, 11608 Charlotte Lane went contract pending on June 30th after just 56 days on the market. The average days on market in Plantation Resort is running around 90 days. In addition, 11608 Charlotte Lane sold for 97.9% of original list price. On July 27, 2011, the sale was completed.
