I've got to share!
The Google juice is working! I Googled my name today...as an aside Do you KNOW how many Deb (or Debbie or Debra) McNeill's there are in the US? Too many. At least most of them seem to be classy ladies.
Anyway...today on Google I'm number one and two thanks to my Active Rain profile.
It's significant progress in my quest to take over the world....well.....at least the Fort Worth real estate world.

Today was the best day of 2011 for me, HANDS DOWN! For starters, I took the day off! I started the day with a bang with a terrific person and the bangs didn't seem to end all day. I took the day off and headed to the hospital where I was in the birthing room for my best friend to labor and deliver another healthy baby girl. Experiencing new life -- best experience, hands down!
LADIES: A great place to deliver a baby in the DFW area is Baylor Hospital in Grapevine. A great OB/GYN is Dr. Troy New. And if you're lucky, you'll get 15 year vet Cindy Farmer for your labor nurse. If you move to the NE Tarrant County area this summer, I can tell you these pros are hot hot HOT! Triple digit HOT!
Long day short... my best friend began her labor trying to get the hospital to administer far fewer drugs and immunizations than norm (on mom and babe, both, but particularly babe) which is always a chore when your belief system sort-of goes against the grain of modern medicine and CYAs of hospitals. But if you want a place that very gracefully works with you through unique requests by mom and dad, Baylor is the place to be. A few waivers later, mom got what mom wanted. But then she tried to naturally deliver essentially a T-bone... that isn't happening, no matter who or what you know...
When doc and nurse checked mom, they could feel babe's fingers! I heard it said, "A baby who comes out hand first is sure to be a politician." Ha! I'd been doing an aweful lot of political action this week with our tax ratification election on behalf of the Keller school district, but it's exhausting work -- can't she do something more fun!?
Well, yea... by the time delivery was near, baby's arm was clear across the top of her head, wedged between head and mom, making babe impossible to push out. Need those HANDS DOWN! In the end, she had a c-sec. But what sweet, caring, knowledgable pros who handled such a delicate delivery so well... and my friend and I can never make it easy on these guys, either. Three for me and two for her and everytime they do it so perfectly under such imperfect circumstances.
Great job, Dr. Troy New, Cindy Farmer, RN, and all the rest of the team at Baylor Grapevine! The best beginning of a day, the best call at 11 to come to the hospital, the best staff, the best friends, the best day of 2011 hands down!
