Hedwig Village was incorporated in 1954. It is one of the smallest self-ruled municipalities in metropolitan Harris County. It is dedicated to single-family homes with 21,000 square feet minimum lots, with the exception of "Zone B" which is a self-contained commercial zone featuring the service of banks, grocery stores, etc.

Hedwig Village offers a quiet place for you and your family to relax from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Our schools located in the Spring Branch I. S.D. have won several awards for excellence. Also to maintain the security and peace of mind of our citizens, we have a Police Department which is fully trained and staffed. Our citizens lives and property are also protected by the Village Fire Department, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hedwig Village is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,334 at the 2000 census. The United States Postal Service uses "Houston" for all Hedwig Village addresses; "Hedwig Village" is not an acceptable city designation for mail addressed to places in Hedwig Village. Hedwig Village is in Texas's 7th congressional district.
