About Highland Village's Highland Shores

It's that time of year again! Highland Shore's resident pool tag pick up will be available at the Site Management Office, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be sure to bring your identification and proof of address to pick up your tags.

There are three pools in the neighborhood. All pools open May 27th, with the exception of Pool 2 which will open May 20th. See open times below:

Pool 1

Monday, Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 9 pm
Sunday 12 - 8 pm

Pool 2

Monday - Thursday Lap Swim 6 am - 8 am
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12 - 9 pm
Friday and Saturday 12 - 10 pm
Sunday 12 - 8 pm

Pool 3

Closed on Wednesdays
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sat 9 am - 9 pm
Friday, Saturday 9 am - 9 pm
Sunday 10 am - 8 pm

Just a couple of pictures from my back yard (Highland Village, Texas - Denton County...of course) during a vicious thunderstorm last week. Texas weather...changes quickly!

As we say in Texas....If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute. Today, 70 degrees and sunny skies!

It's always when I'm running late that I run into signs like "Road Closed" or "Detour". But I don't want to take the detour!

These are the signs that are blocking part of Highland Shores Blvd at Hillside Drive/Twin Coves in Highland Village. Allow yourself a few minutes extra as you wind around the horseshoe back onto Highland Shores. Crews have been working on the road the past few days and it was open yesterday, but today was a different story!

Community Garage Sales for Highland Shores (Highland Village, TX) April 9th and April 16th!

There are approximately 1600 homes in the Highland Shores subdivision -- that's lots of properties where homeowners are spring cleaning, downsizing, and selling lots of stuff. Furniture, toys, books, bicycles, sporting equipment, kitchenware, household items, musical instruments and vehicles...just to name a few!

So if you are in the mood to find a treasure, come see us! If you are a homeowner, clean out your garage, your attic...heck your house and market your personal property along with the rest of your neighbors!

This year the HOA is allowing two consecutive weekends to accommodate everyone who wants to participate. Signs will be at all the main entrances, and ads will be placed in local papers.

The HOA has thought of everything this year...Goodwill will be set up the the parking lot at Pool 2 to pick up your items that didn't sell.

Awe tennis! Who doesn't love tennis? Highland Shores, a master planned community in Highland Village, Texas offers several tennis courts to homeowners in the neighborhood! There is also a Highland Shores Tennis Academy that offers junior and adult classes in tennis instruction. Several leagues are also available for further fun and/or instruction.

Ladies Tennis Info: The spring Ladies League will bein the first week in March. Anyone interested, just let me know and I'll forward you to the league leader.

Men's Doubles League will continue this summer.

Men's Singles: If interested in a singles league, let me know. This league will be set up if there's enough interest.

Stay fit and lose some weight with Cardio Drills. This is a high paced, tennis related exercise. Great for your heart!
