It's About Time For Santa To Visit Heatherwood Village -- December 2011

Each year in December Santa rides a Cy-Creek Fire Engine around Heatherwood Village, and his helpers throw candy and toys to the children that come out to see him pass by. This usually happens one or two Saturday's before Christmas about 10am. They go down every street in the subdivision, so you hear the sirens long before he gets to your house, and they go slow so everybody has a chance to make it to the street in time to see Santa go by.

Engine 21 was on Willow Branch in Heatherwood Village for this picture.

Heatherwood Village is split in two by Faulky Gully. Here Engine 21 is passing over the bridge that crosses the gully to get to the other part of the subdivision.

Heatherwood Village Market Report -- Actives As of Sept 1, 2011

Heatherwood Village is a well established community near HP and the Lone Star College -- University Park. Located only 8 minutes away from Willowbrook Mall, the community boasts tranquil living, yet its close to major shopping and amenities.

As of September 1st there are 15 houses Active on the market through HAR.com. The prices range from $109,990 to $160,000. The house above is the one for $109,990. I took the picture myself today at about 11am. (The house next door is for sale as well and actually has a contract on it).

This is the one that is under contract. It is an attractive house. Don't you just love all the big trees in Heatherwood? Lots of shade.

Here is the most expensive ($160,000) active listing in Heatherwood Village, it is at 15103 Rolling Oaks Drive. This beautiful red brick house is also one of the newest houses in the neighborhood. It was built in 1986. The building style reminds me of the houses in Lakewood Grove subdivision on the other side of Louetta near State Highway 249.
