You will never have to pay to be listed as a top neighbor. Period. That important detail clarified, let's discuss how we arrive at two "top neighbors" for a given region:
Localism is a bustling collection of hyper-local communities, and the top neighbors should reflect those members who are most active. When ranking users in a given region, several factors are considered. To get your foot in the proverbial door, you need to have posted at least one "Localism" article or photo for the region.
The very best way to quickly rise to #1 is to post high-quality local content. Keeping a steady strem of incoming posts and photos will massively tilt the scales in your favor.
What doesn't count toward the top neighbor ranking? ActiveRain points and community sponsorships. The top neighbor spots will always go to the most active members in a region. We want to create a level playing field that encourages the growth of communities — talent and dedication are required to win the day.

I just heard on the radio yesterday that the Children's Museum of Houston was voted America's No. 1 Children's Museum by Parents Magazine. It's truly an amazing place. They have all kinds of educational programs as well as lots of exhibits, a kid's cafe, many events and activities. Parents will be just as amused and entertained as the kids!
So if you are looking for things to do in Houston, be sure to add the Children's Museum of Houston to your list. Exhibits are geared mostly toward children from age 0 to age 12; however, most adults love it too!
Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. is Free Family Night. Obviously this will be the most crowded time to visit. Normally, the museum is less crowed during the week after 1:00 in the afternoon.
The Children's Museum of Houston is included in the Houston CityPass package, which allows you to save over 40% for some of Houston's most popular attractions when bought as a package. Whether you are visiting Houston, have visitors from out of town or just want to plan 9 days of doing fun things in Houston, check out the Houston CityPass.
The Children's Museum of Houston is locted at 1500 Binz, Houston, TX 77004 in the Museum District of Houston. Their phone no. is 713-522-1138.
