Women’s Group in Katy Texas Hosts Fundraiser

The Katy Christian Women’s Connection will hold their annual fund raiser on Thursday October 20, 2011 at The Club at Falcon Point which is located at 24503 Falcon Point Dr. Katy Texas. Reservations for this fund raiser appear to be necessary and one can call 281-232-8338 or E-mail katycwc@gmail.com. You or your family are interested in this local women’s group try their web site for more information.

The fund raiser will include a bake sale, live and silent auctions, lunch and penalty of shopping. A speaker will also be on hand to give a talk. This speaker is Sherry Woodruff who is a concert pianists and music teacher. My guess is that Sherry will discuss music.

The Katy Women’s Connection is a group of women who gather from all walks of life and denominations for fellowship, food and lots of fun. The club is associated with the international organization named Stonecroft Ministries. If you want more information about Stonecroft go to their web site.

I am not familiar with this group but I try to give as many different groups which have events/fundraisers some type of recognition and you the public can make your decisions.

A review of Falcon Ranch, Falcon Rock, Falcon Point and Falcon Landing shows that 127 homes sold in 2009. Properties ranges in value from $132,000 to $365,000 and sold between about $70 and $95 per square foot.

The average property sold in only 50 days, a brisk pace. More importantly this well located community can only get stronger with it proximity to incoming Katy hospitals.

In the retail business, Christmas is not only a special time of year because of Christ's birth. Christmas is also the most profitable time of year.

In real estate, summertime is our Christmas. More realtors make a majority of our money over the summer. So I always find it valuable to review summertime sales by neighborhood.

Between June and August, 42 homes have closed. The average home was only on the market for 46 days and sold for $238,000 or about $80 per square foot. The average home was 2956 square foot.

Home sold from about $160,000 to over $330,000. Falcon Point, Falcon Landing and Falcon Ranch continue to hold values and thrive despite the tough national economy.
